Description

SAMAII is home bred & his bloodlines combine the best of Dutch & German breeding, including 40%TB.This breeding combines the “golden character” of Samber & the renowned rideability of the Hanoverian “B” line from 2003 Stallion of the year Brentano II. Samaii is the 3rd generation of stallions to score 9’s & max10’s for both character & temperament.


As a 2 yr old Samaii went to Gestuet WM in Germany to be prepared for licensing & subsequent competition by Eckhard Wahlers. He licensed as a “Premium” stallion & successfully passed both his 30 & 70 day stallion tests at Neustadt (Dosse). His 30 Day Dressage score of 8,18 included :- 9,0 Character; 9,0 Temperament; 8,5 Walk & 8,0 Canter. He was winner of German young Horse classes and competed there to M level. In the U.K., due to no fault of his own, he was only competed briefly and won at Adv Medium.
He is life approved head stud book Oldenburg & acceptable to most warmblood societies that accept colour. In the U.K. his foals are eligible for passports with British Hanoverian - the first coloured stallion to be accepted into this studbook;  British Rhineland, WBS & AES passports. 
SIRE SAMBERTINO was a 100 day tested in Germany & had a successful competition career in Holland, Germany & UK. His progeny include 3 International Paralympic horses including a World Cup silver medal winner; GP Dressage offspring (Europe & USA); Show Jumpers to 1.35m; Eventers to CCI 2*. 
DAM ELITE BEROLINA was a Hanoverian, performance tested, Verden auction mare & descended from the dual orientated Dichterschloss dam line which has produced 1.60m jumpers, 5* Eventers & Grand Prix dressage horses. These include:-
1.60m JUMPERS- Casparo, Cenbalou, Donna Belle & Quebelle.
EVENTERS - CCI5* Colero, 6th at Lexington; CCI4* Pumuckele. 
Samaii’s 3rd dam, St Pr Adrienne, is also 2nd dam of CCI4* Carolyn winner of Blenheim CCI3*. 
GP DRESSAGE horses from this dam line include MSJ Kom Fairy Tale; Watami; Fonteyne; Davinchi, Double U, Dernier Crie, all by Donnerhall ……& Quileute CCW. 
Elite Berolina is also dam to WBS Reserve Champion stallion Santano (Sandro Hit). Samaii is tested negative for both WFFS & PSSM1. 

Progeny

FOALS have been awarded Premiums & Gold Medals in both the UK & Germany. In 2009 Silvana C was German Champion coloured foal & went on to become a Verband Premium mare another Samaii filly, Shona C placed 3rd. Brackenspa Siam was a BEF top scoring Eventing foal & we eagerly await her foal by 1.60m KWPN show jumping stallion Entertainer in 2025. 


DRESSAGE offspring include Danish licensing & performance test Champion stallion Sam Bastian, now competing Advanced level in Finland. Former stallion, St Nazaire C is competing with his 13yr old owner. In 2022 they were BD Youth International Champions. In 2023 they were BD Inter Regional Champions, scoring 95.5%. They also won the FEI “Children on horses” class at Hartpury Dressage Festival. Ashbank Stantaii was BD Regional Champion & qualified for the Nationals. In Germany Seabiscuit RW is competing at Inter I. 


SHOWING progeny have won at Royal Windsor, RIHS, HOYS & County Shows. These include Volatis Oriana, Sambervito, Sambuca Flame, Sanderhall Licotus & Brackenspa Sommelier. Penrock So Perfect was 2021 CHAPS Champion yearling & ‘23 Reserve Champion potential performance horse. In South Africa, German bred broodmare Sookie Lynn was 2nd at HOYS & is dam of stallion Zydor, now successfully showjumping with a junior rider.
