There cannot be many ponies with a competition record as outstanding as that of SF Detroit.
His exceptional paces, eye-catching presence and athletic jump have seen him at the very top of both pony eventing and pony dressage. He is one of the very few successful eventing pony stallions, and is the only stallion to win FEI European Pony Eventing medals for Great Britain.
Bred in Germany, SF DETROIT was brought to the UK by the Herrling family after winning the 2015 German Bundeschampionat (National Championship) for six-year old Eventing Ponies.
His sire, Denver, has produced both top dressage ponies and jumpers. He is by the FEI dressage pony Desperado K, who is also sired by an FEI dressage pony Dornik B. Dornik B competed at four FEI European Pony Championships, winning individual gold twice.
SF Detroit’s dam, the elite mare Bellevue, was twice a finalist at the German Bundeschampionat for jumping ponies. She has sired a further two FEI Eventing ponies, out of two different sires… SF Magic Mike and SF Beverly.
Bellevue is a maternal half sister to Aron N, who competed twice at the European Pony Championships in jumping, and to Quettino de Florys who is also an FEI jumping pony.
Whilst he has excelled as an eventing pony, SF Detroit has also proven himself against the best dressage ponies in this country, winning at Premier League Shows.
His rhythm, movement, jump and scope will impress anyone. All of this coupled with great rideability, work ethic and bravery, make him the ideal sire for the next generation of top competition ponies.
