By a Nations Cup GOLD medallist out of the dam of a Nations Cup GOLD medallist!
* Successful in all three of the National 5 YO Eventing Championships
* Maternal sibling to 3 International Event Horses
* From same DIRECT dam-line as CHANYON – 6th Tokyo Olympics
* Featured twice by Horse & Hound as one of the TOP 8 Young Stallions in the UK
Future Hepsilon is a superb example of the quality passed on by his super-sire Upsilon who was one of the world’s most exciting event horses, having now sired back-to-back Young Event Horse World Champion Golden de Beliard.
Hepsilon’s motherline has already produced International eventers and his dam is by one of the world’s most successful sires of eventers, the thoroughbred, Heraldik. Hepsilon is the product of some of most outstanding genetics in the world.
The first four dams in his bottom line are responsible for over 64 horses jumping at 1.40m or above. This includes, ‘Chanyon’ who was 6th individually at Tokyo Olympics, ‘Ben Maher’s 1.50m horse ‘Wintu’, ‘HS Chaccophanie’ the Danish Nations Cup Silver Medalist, Paul Schockemohle’s great stallion 'Qualdandro', and ‘Embassy II’ who won over 1 million euros in prize money.
From this same 4 generation damline comes Team GB rider Yasmin Ingham’s Nations Cup eventer 'Night Line', who was 5th at Burnham Market CCI4* and 8th at Bicton 4* in 2021, as well as 16th at Pau 4*
Future Hepsilon has the dream pedigree for event horse breeders, and is a superb example of the quality produced by his sire Upsilon. Coupled with being out of a mare by probably the world’s best thoroughbred sire of sport horses, Heraldik, his genetics are without doubt world class.
Future Hepsilon received excellent marks at his stallion licensing averaging 8.75 with no marks less than 8.5. Comments from the AES Stallion Licensing panel included "...a real powerhouse of a young stallion showing exceptional natural elevation and aptitude. At his inspection we were impressed by his elastic, correct movement and positive, confident attitude..."
Hepsilon's first season was 2022 where he contested the 5YO classes, and he was one of only two horses to finish in the Top 12 in all three of the National 5YO Championships - Burgley Young Event Horse, Nexgen and the BE CCI1*-S 5YO at Osberton - jumping double clears in all three.
His sire Upsilon is renowned for his record-breaking score in the FEI Nations Cup of just 17.3 penalties. He won at both Nations Cups and Event Riders Masters competitions and was Young Event Horse Vice World Champion as a 7yr old. As a sire - and from one of his first crops - Upsilon produced the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed horses in the 2019 4yr old French National Eventing Championships. His 6yr olds are now already jumping at 1.35m level. In 2021 his 7yr olds took all three podium places in the French National Eventing Championships, and in 2022 'Golden de Beliard' won the Young Event Horse World Championships and then did the double taking the 7yr old title in 2023 - an incredible achievement.
Upsilon’s dam also produced the 3* eventer Trouble Fete and 1.40m showjumper Bille En Tete. Upsilon’s sire, Canturo was a 1.60m showjumper and was line bred to the great Cor de la Bryere. Canturo has sired over 31, 1.60m showjumpers.
Future Hepsilon’s dam, Heraldik Girl-W, jumped to 1.20m and has herself already produced three international eventers including Boekelo 2022 Team GB Gold medallist 'Opposition Heraldik Girl'.
Future Hepsilon's dam descends from the same motherline as 'Chanyon' 6th individually at Tokyo Olympics as well as multiple CSI5* World Cup winning stallion Embassy II whose career earnings stand at over €1 million.
Added to this exceptional dam line is that her sire is none other than the most successful thoroughbred sire of eventers, Heraldik, giving Future Hepsilon a gold-plated pedigree. Heraldik has sired horses at the top in all three Olympic disciplines... including the International 5* event horses Butts Abraxxas, Butts Avedon, Butts Leon, TSF Karascada M, and Happy Times. He is also the dam-sire of Michael Jung’s World and European Champion La Biosthetique Sam. At one time the majority of the German Eventing team were sat on horses by Heraldik! Heraldik was the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses No.1 Ranked Sire of Eventers for an incredible 5 consecutive years, and held a top 3 place for a further 4 years. He also sired numerous Grand Prix showjumpers including Herald III, Highlight and Hennessy, and Grand Prix dressage horses such as H-Ekwador, Heraldik Star and Hidalgo.
Future Hepsilon is a powerful, athletic stallion with a talent for jumping and a kind disposition. Performance in the close family of Hepsilon is very convincing and should give breeders confidence that by choosing him they are choosing proven genetics that pass from generation to generation. The genes for jumping are very strong on both sides of his pedigree with both his sire and dam competing and demonstrating wonderful ability.
Future Hepsilon has been extremely well received by breeders in the UK, USA and Australia in his first two seasons at stud, being sent both International CCI4* mares, and Champion Show mares. His youngstock have already been purchased for CCI5* riders in the USA and Europe as well as by one of the WBFSH Leading Breeders to add to their breeding programme.
In 2022 a filly foal was purchased by one of the WBFSH Leading Breeders to add to their breeding programme in the USA, with a second foal also heading to the USA for a CCI5* rider.
Two foals by Hepsilon have now been purchased for a European CCI5* rider who competed at Tokyo Olympics.
