His sire Power Blade showjumped to 1.30m level and was crowned Croker Cup Champion at the Royal Dublin Horse Show. He has sired numerous International eventers including Izzy Taylor’s 5* Springpower, as well as Grand Prix showjumpers and County Show Champions. Prophecy’s dam-sire Hand in Glove jumped to Grand Prix level, competed at Prix St. Georges dressage and was a Stakes winning racehorse. He sired Young Event Horse World Champion Lord de Ligniere, and Sarah Cohen’s Nations Cup and CCI5* eventer, Treason. He is also the sire of Olympic jumper and leading sire of Event horses, Jaguar Mail, who in turn sired Andrew Hoy's Olympic Silver medallist Vassily de Lassos.
Prophecy has already been used by multiple 5* event riders on their International mares in the UK, and is now being used in the USA and Kenya as part of a specialist breeding programmes, as well as in Europe and Australia.
In 2025 the first of Prophecy's offspring to appear under saddle, Timothy VII, who is owned/bred and ridden by CCI5* rider James Sommerville WON his Burghley Young Event horse qualifier and went on to feature in the final. What an exciting debut for prophecy's ridden youngsters!
